Websites are typically hosted on remote servers, typically not ‘on location.’ To make a backup of the content of a remote server, one needs specific skills, such as understanding the WordPress and folder structures, as well as certain basic tools, such as an FTP utility to transfer the actual content.

MrBackup brings its established Windows based knowledge to the WordPress environment. Web Servers are typically composed of three components:

  • an Apache operating system
  • a MySQL database, and
  • a content management system, such as WordPress

According to Web Technology Surveys WordPress is used by 58.6% of all the websites whose content management system we know. This is 24.9% of all websites.

MrBackup will backup WordPress, but not the Apache operating system.

MrBackup makes it easy to backup the entire WordPress site to a secure, remote destination.
